Painter since my early childhood, i was trained as a decorator, apprenticed at " le Croisic", painter and decorator craftsman.In 1982 , i was awarded the tittle "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" for decorative painting and trompe l'œil , the higest french distinction in the trade. Artistic director, i've been teaching in a high decorative institute in Paris for nine years.
Then, i founded my own school, the Institute Guégan, in 1993. It trains intending professionnal decorators who come from France and around the world and want to specialize in the techniques of trompe l'œil.
For seventeen years, i've written lots of books about setting in Trompe l'œil.
